Finland Grid Energy Storage Project

Winda Energy has announced plans to develop two industrial-scale battery energy storage projects in central Finland, in partnership with investment group Wood & Co, as part of efforts to strengthen grid stability and support renewable energy integration. Both projects will strengthen grid. Construction is set to begin in 2026, with the projects aiming to support the stability of Finland's electricity grid. The facilities will have a combined storage capacity of 150MWh. Äänekoski and Laukaa will be home to the two.
